Nick Paez - Cleveland, OH
Multi-year PGA member who wanted to teach more, and multiply his passion through a team of like-minded instructors
Six GolfTEC Improvement Centers, Cleveland & Canton, OH
"There's no question U.S. golfers love the game, and want to play better. Here in Cleveland, we've helped hundreds - from novices to scratch players - push beyond the plateaus. That alone is rewarding, and being in charge turns a great teaching approach into a lifestyle business for me." I wish there were more hours in a day. But here, the hours are mine to invest in my business instead of working like crazy for someone else."
Jay Jilot - Reno, NV
Former software product manager who passed the PAT and enrolled as a Level I PGA Apprentice - and has becoming a PGA Member in his sights
Owns a GolfTEC Improvement Center, Reno, NV
"The passion I had as a player pushed me to become part of the PGA, and then take the next step in making golf my business. Every day brings challenges, but I've got the energy and belief that clients seem to grab on to - and that means strong sales of GolfTEC's full range of services. If you love seeing the before-and-after in someone's swing, or watching them break 90 for the first time, take a serious look at GolfTEC. The business part is hard work, but so is laboring where there's no sense of accomplishment or building equity. I made my choice, and encourage you to look in the mirror to see where your golf career is headed."
Pursue your passion with GolfTEC, raise your hand if you're ready to get serious.
Franchise FAQ's
What franchise fees apply?
An initial payment between $17,500 and $35,000 applies, with continuing royalties of 5% of gross sales and 4% of merchandise sales. Other fees detailed in the Franchise Agreement include an annual software maintenance fee of $4,000 (after first anniversary), and 2% of gross sales additionally required for the National Ad Fund.
What kind of capital is needed to launch a GolfTEC Improvement Center?
Including the franchise fee, $138,150 to $461,825 is needed for signage, furnishings, inventory, and initial local advertising. Improvement Center size and locations are two of the variables connected with the C.B.S.A. being developed.
What specifically do I receive when investing in a GolfTEC franchise?
A full complement of well-documented systems and support comprise the franchise package available from your sales representative. It will answer critical questions that are important to serious franchise candidates:
Site selection and store opening
Training programs for Owners and Coaches
Ongoing operations, instructional and market development assistance
What level of player benefits most from the GolfTEC approach?
With a comprehensive approach to tee-to-green improvement, all levels and playing goals – even tour players – are addressed by GolfTEC Certified Personal Coaches. By building full-swing skills and then tuning shot-specific variations, significant score reduction is within reach of most players.
How does the in-center, in-bay instructional approach benefit players?
Three components affect golf performance: Technique, Equipment, and Conditioning. The controlled environment of the Improvement Center makes it easier to isolate the causes of poor on-course performance – away from the pressure of public settings like driving ranges. Once identified, specific sustainable steps are taken to make progress, then monitor it as clients apply new-found ability on their favorite courses.
Do I have a protected territory?
Yes, and each territory is a well-defined region outlined in your development agreement. A GolfTEC territory typically is identified as a C.B.S.A. (Core Business Statistical Area).
